MCS carry out a diverse and extensive range of industrial warehouse cleaning services for many national and international companies. Warehouse cleaning and depot cleaning works can include a wide range of surfaces including the internal structure, high level racking, automated racking systems, flooring, roller shutter doors and the external cladding. Clients often require these environments to be upgraded in terms of cleanliness, possibly due to change of use, changes in goods and stock held or simply to satisfy the auditing procedures of a new or existing client.
Warehouse environments and particularly food distributions sites are by nature inherently dangerous and familiarity with the workings of these environments is very important. For more than 12 years our management, site supervision and operatives have worked within these types of environment. We have seen considerable changes in the way works must now be conducted, primarily in the interests of increased safety awareness. We take our responsibilities very seriously.
We are able to offer a complete cleaning service for any Warehouse or Distribution environment. This service can consist of anything from providing general labourers to sweep and litter pick areas on a regular frequency, to providing fully trained operatives using industrial sweepers and scrubber driers to complete high level cleans to maintain large areas where dust levels are a key issue.
Chill Chamber Cleaning
We also clean chillers and cold storage facilities. These particular environments present unique cleaning problems, conventional cleaning procedures cannot be used as often operating temperatures can be -18 degrees. These are usually very busy environments with movement caused by the chillers units and fork truck activities. As most are used for food storage, presentation of the environment is important.
With food, working environments operate 24/7: most in-house cleaners won't go above 2 metres, so you find great tidemarks at high level. Food distribution centres are in three parts, ambient, chilled and frozen, we also provide specialist cleaning to the cooling fans which are prone to clog and restrict airflow if not maintained regularly A large DC spends £700,000 annually on electricity: we typically see 65-75% airflow increases from cleaning the coolers, so the cost of our work pales into insignificance. We provide an after-clean report. We also report things you don't see on the ground, like broken pipes and damaged cables and take airflow readings, before and after to show the improvements.
External Cladding
If your name is on the building, it’s an important part of your image and you want it to be clean. More and more leases now have a requirement for cleaning the outsides of buildings every three or four years
- We provide both high and low level cladding cleaning. Using a fleet of specially built hydraulic platforms we can access buildings up to a height of 45 metres. The Access Platforms have built in Pressure Washers and Steam Cleaners so no trailing hoses.

Builders Cleans
Builders cleans ensure that once the builders have left, your new premises look perfect prior to their public unveiling. The importance of this first impression on your customers cannot be underestimated – rely on MCS to give your premises that vital last clean.
MCS has completed bespoke builders cleans to some of UKs largest distribution warehouse’s. We specialize in sites of this nature and do not get involved with house cleans. We regularly service buildings in excess of 500,000sqft. Completing projects to meet the tightest of deadlines.
We are also one of the few companies that can offer gas powered floor slab/sweepers/scrubber/dryer that will never run out of power. Have you ever employed a cleaning company to clean a floor slab and they turn up with a battery powered machine that is flat after 3 hrs and no means of charging it, it is a building site after all, where electricity points are few and far between.
Our Industrial Cleaners are trained to work at High Level from Cherry Pickers, Scissor Lifts and Scaffolding Towers, and for this they carry the necessary IPAF qualifications. Our Industrial Cleaners are also trained in the use of Industrial Cleaning Equipment such as Gas Powered Ride On Sweeper/Scrubber/Driers, Rotary Buffers, Steam Cleaners and Pressure Washers.

End of Lease empty shed
If you want to sell or lease a big shed it had better be clean: unfortuately there are plenty to choose from around the UK at the moment if you are the beneficial owner of industrial property, it makes sense to ensure that both exterior and interior elevations are ‘deep cleaned’ regularly, to attract new clients or otherwise you will see the asset value diminish rapidly.
Surveying & Costs
MCS will survey the extent of any works, working with the client’s ‘Schedule of Works’ where necessary or make recommendations and provide a bespoke schedule. Based upon this information we will then provide a fixed lump sum cost clearly indicating the extent and limitations of works with no hidden extras, any exclusions will be clearly identified. Any additional items of cleaning not identified or agreed at the time of the survey will be priced individually.
Documentation & Procedures
Prior to commence of any works we would submit, for approval, a bespoke ‘Site Specific Package’ including,
- Risk Assessments
- COSHH data sheets
- Method Statements
- Safety Induction, site specific
- Produce CSCS Cards, IPAF Cards and PASMA Cards where applicable
Operatives will read, acknowledge and sign our ‘Site Specific Package’ a copy of which will be supplied to the client. Throughout the work’s duration, site supervision will conduct routine surveys
Management & Supervision
Our approach is to work with your site management, providing you with experienced site supervision and labour, all our operatives are full time employees, During the last 12 years we have never been contra-charged by any of our clients for delays, damage caused or otherwise. Our primary objective is to secure repeat business, we will only achieve this is if we complete your project safely, on time, on budget and without incident.
